Malcolm Ohanwe
Moderator Studio BETD.23Malcolm Ohanwe works as a journalist and presenter.
Malcolm has studied Arabic, English and Romance studies in Munich. After his studies he did a journalistic traineeship at Bayerischer Rundfunk. Together with Marcel Aburakia, he produced and presented the podcast „Kanackische Welle“ until 2022, in which they dealt with the topics of racism and cultural identity. Until 2022 he and two other journalists hosted the podcast „Sack Reis“, in which they talked every two weeks to young people from all over the world about current social and political events. Malcolm has worked for Deutsche Welle’s English language programming and reported as a political correspondent from Nigeria. Since 2019 he has been one of the moderators of the program „RESPEKT“ on ARD alpha and since 2021 he has been part of the reporter team of #trending, ZDF’s report format for international reporting.
