The technologies and solutions to secure a global green future are here – now we need to implement them. Long-term political targets should point the direction and the right regulation provide the framework. This will make it more attractive to invest in renewable energy.

Kristoffer Böttzauw was appointed Director General of the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) in June 2018. Since 2013, he has worked at the Ministry of Climate, Energy & Utilities where he held the position as Deputy Director General of the DEA and most recently as Deputy Permanent Secretary at the ministry. Kristoffer has extensive experience within the areas of energy, utilities and climate. He began his career at the Ministry of Finance, followed by the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Interior and Health as Head of Department. Kristoffer holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science from Aarhus University and a Master of Public Governance from Copenhagen Business School and the University of Copenhagen.
