A just transition that ensures there is access to clean energy for all and that countries to ramp up investment in and deployment of renewable energy while moving towards a phase-out of fossil fuels - this is how we can meet the objectives of the Paris Agreement, minimize climate-related loss and damage, and protect human and planetary health.

Elizabeth is a Young Kenyan Environmentalist and Climate Leader and the Green Generation Initiative (GGI) Founder. The great Kenyan leader, Professor Wangari Maathai, greatly inspires her work. She is the Wangari Maathai Foundation’s Young African Climate Leaders Hub lead and a recipient of the Wangari Maathai Scholarship award for demonstrating leadership and commitment to environmental conservation issues. Elizabeth is also a Coordinator of the Daima Coalition for the Protection of Urban Green Spaces and has recently been appointed by the President of the Republic of Kenya as the youngest Commissioner representing Civil Society and Youths at the Nairobi Rivers Commission.
